Leigh Weimers Award

The Leigh Weimers Emerging Artists Awards are a program of the Rotary Club of San Jose to recognize local artists in various disciplines. The awards honor the late Leigh Weimers, a Rotary Club member and Mercury News columnist who championed the arts.

We are thrilled to announce that applications are open for this year’s Leigh Weimers Emerging Artists Awards. We will be giving $5,000 unrestricted grants to artists living in Santa Clara County who have not yet been widely recognized in their field. Since 2013, we’ve honored musicians, muralists, filmmakers, fashion designers, dancers, rappers and more. Will you be next? Apply by June 30!
